What brought you to Plant the Seed?

Having already completed one year of service with Americorps in the realm of education, I was interested in pursuing something that was a little closer to my background in environmental studies, but still education oriented. I found the position while living in Milwaukee, WI and applied pretty quickly. It was a perfect mix of familiar and unknown! I’m thankful everyday that I chose to move to Nashville and work with it’s little people!

If you could have any superpower what would it be, and why?

I think I would want to be able to transport myself to different locations instantly. I’m not really sure what you call that, but just being able to snap your fingers and be in Peru!

What is your favorite band/genre of music?

I honestly don’t really have a favorite genre! My dad is kind of a music encyclopedia and exposed me to everything from showtoons to scream-o. That little taste of everything has made my own music library pretty diverse and would probably make an audiophile pretty mad. As long as I can dance to it I’m game!

What is one goal you want to complete in the next 10 years?

I’d like to live abroad for more than a year. Experience long term life somewhere unfamiliar to me. I think that I’ve experienced the most growth when I feel uncomfortable, so I fully intend to be uncomfortable often. I’m about to start my masters in public affairs, so international policy and political advocacy is something that really interests me!
